I'm starting to wonder
I've been giving a lot of thought to this website lately, and I wonder if it isn't time for a site redesign. I have some more content that I'd like to make room for, and I don't have a whole lot of room in my existing set-up.
Perhaps it's time to rethink the whole works.
I have always had trouble doing art or sites or really anything creative for myself. I'm my own worst critic, and it just makes working on my own projects a nightmare for me. I design and redesign and think and scoff and shrug, and I'm never totally satisfied in one way or another. But as it is now, my site has had the same look for two years or so, and while I generally like it, I think it's time for a face-lift anyway. I've learned a whole lot more since I did the last version, so I don't know if that'll make it easier or harder.
I think it would be nice to integrate some data from this blog into the site as well as opposed to being a largely separate entity.

Right there with ya.
I just kept sketching until I came up with something different. My design didn't originate in the computer. I actually had to step away from the site for a while to get comfortable with designing it. Once it wasn't a priority - bang - I hit with a design. I did that at work as well - let something go back burner for a while and then I get a few ideas.
